
Randal Pierce is a composer, music director and educator, with a degree in piano performance from McGill University's Schulich School of Music. He has written chamber music, theater works and scores for silent films which have been performed throughout the country. His compositions for theater have included "The Quarry" commissioned by Vermont Stage Company and produced at the Hyde Park Theater in Austin, Texas, "Orchestriska's Box" through In Tandem Arts and music for "Transitions" commissioned by the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts. His scores for silent films have been commissioned by Main Street Landing, The Flynn, The Vermont International Film Festival, The Green Mountain Film Festival, Big Picture Theater and Burlington City Arts.
Internationally, Randal has performed and toured with Montreal's Segal Centre for the Performing Arts and with jazz bands, classical ensembles and Eastern European folk groups around Canada and the U.S. Locally, Randal has music directed for St. Michael's Playhouse, BCA, The University of Vermont, The Flynn Center for The Performing Arts, Full Circle Theater, the Middlebury Acting Company, Theater Kavanaugh and VT Stage Company.
